What Can I Say

I think my life must have entered one of those boring phases, where everything is running smoothly and nothing is too objectionable. In fact, where most things are pretty darn nice. Hence my gross lack of posts lately. What is there to say?

Winter seems to be sweeping into Seattle. It's gray all of a sudden, and wet. I hear that it's going to be nice this weekend, but the nice days are numbered now that it's almost October. That's fine. I love winter, almost as much as I love fall.

My friends and I were talking the other day about having a carb party. It all started because I went to a wedding with a mashed potato bar. This is the best idea to hit weddings since ... well, since people started to have weddings. Who doesn't love mashed potatoes? So anyway, as we were regaling each other with recipes and stories, we decided we should have a potluck of sorts. A potluck where the only thing people bring are mashed potatoes and stuffing. Their secret family recipes.

I think I'll supply the booze (probably vodka made from potatoes) and the plates, and everyone else can supply the food.

That, and my brother's wedding, are the only things I really have planned for the near future. I hope your lives are as lacking in excitement as mine.

Crawdad's a bully

You know it's true!!!

Next weekend (not this weekend, next weekend) is my little brother's wedding. So I'll be in Wisconsin for that.

Keep it real.
